Artist Biography

Patrick Blaeser uses a variety of mediums including photography, fabric, thread and baked goods to express apocalyptic and utopian attitudes of the futures and past.

Patrick’s practice consists of searching the Internet for random flotsam and jetsam and inspirations to help him push his work along, stealing anything and everything he can from information gleaned freely from the digital world. He watches the news for everyday realizations of “science fiction” being revealed in our modern age.

 

Patrick recently completed his Master of Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. He now resides in Vancouver BC. He has shown work in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Canada and the U.S.A.
